Hi I’m Dean, a Project/Risk Manager at Severn Trent Water and for the past five years I have been fundraising and supporting the charity WaterAid.

WaterAid regularly run run supporters trips to one of the countries in which they operate. These trips allow volunteers/fundraisers the opportunity to see WaterAid's work first hand and give an opportunity to see how funds are used to benefit local communities.

I have been selected to go on the 2014 trip, and this year the destination is Uganda!

Although I think I know a lot about the work WaterAid do (time will tell), I certainly don’t know much about Uganda and this blog will follow my steep learning curve over the next few weeks.
